The beginning of the 2024 season will be interesting. I would hate to see O'connell and company rush Mc Carthy into the QB1 spot. I think Darold has the ability to do pretty well out of the gate. If this is the case I feel the Vikings will surprise a few of their early opponents.

There isn't much precedent for material improvement by a guy with Darnold's turnover history. It would be an unlikely but nice problem to have if Darnold suddenly starts taking care of the ball and the Vikings win 11 games.

As for developing QBs, Tom Moore has an all-time quote about why Manning's backups didn't get more practice time. Usually, the focus is on winning that week, not diverting time/reps to help someone who isn't part of the game plan. It would be interesting if KOC/KAM would share that aspect of their "how to raise a QB" philosophy. How much, if at all, will practices and rep distributions change from the past two years?
