I really like what the team did to bring in some reinforcements to the secondary via the draft. But reading through this i'm reminded of how young we will be back there without a true full offseason. I'm thinking we should bring in a FA vet if the cap will allow. Guys like Darqueze Dennard and Logan Ryan are still out there. Hopefully Hughes and Hill have taken steps forward going into their 3rd seasons.

I agree. If they make a late-add cornerback, that gives them pretty solid depth there and then if someone like Cameron Dantzler is ready earlier than we expect, all the better for them

Are there any points in the season that worry you in terms of short weeks or the Vikings traveling a lot of miles between games?

Good question. There's a few concerning travel things... Houston to Seattle, Chicago to New Orleans on a short week and New Orleans to Detroit... that final quarter of the season is a Bear (get it?)

Tough schedule this year combined with the fact the Zim’s teams seem to regress in even numbered years and we have a ton of youth with no OTA’s or mini camps. I’m guessing 9-7 at best.

Zimmer's 'every other year' pattern intrigues me. I'm thankful that the worst season under Zimmer was 7-9 and that was his first year, but every other year is .500. Are there other coaches that have similar patterns?

Those first five games look tough. Why is it that the Vikings play in Seattle every year? They've played there as much as San Fran has over the past five years.

I tried to find an answer to this question. I think there's some coincidence to it... you play teams who finished in the same spot in the division (1st place, second place etc.) and they've matched up a few times with Seattle and then they had the NFC West in 2018. Why it's been on the road though... that im not sure

This is going to be such a fun season! So many competitive games! The return of Teddy! Drew and Tom and all these quarterbacks will definitely be trial by fire for the young secondary Zimmer will be working with this year! I hate that they have to go out west to Seattle again though! Have the Seahawks even played yet in US bank stadium?

Totally agree with you. For entertainment purposes, this has so many great storylines right off the bat with Green Bay
