Hunter returns on a one-year contract, which fits with the Vikings' 'competitive rebuild' mindset
Do we know if there were any void years?
He already had void years on the deal. I don't believe this changes those
Call me overthinking... But I would not be surprised if DJ Wonnum could be traded.
He is an FA after this year
He is competent but nothing more. The typical replacement level player (but had good stats 2 years ago)
If the staff thinks Patrick Jones will outplay him this year then he brings less value (also how does Andre Carter look once he recovers).
If one could get a 4th or 5th round pick, maybe not a bad idea
It seems the perfect "fair" deal as least as far as the Vikings and while it does not give Hunter everything he wants it seems decent.. Certainly a bump up from getting 5.5 mm
