Inspired by ESPN’s The Last Dance, I decided to look back at the best season of the decade for the Minnesota Vikings in long form, from training camp to the Minneapolis Miracle to the impact the ‘17 season had on the future.
Sooo happy you’re doing a podcast. I love your articles, but miss hearing you on Purple Daily. Simulating Madden seasons to get to draft just aren’t the same without Coller’s voice blasting on my iPhone.
Loved this podcast. Totally forgot some of that stuff, do remember Zimmer calling out Treadwell for “not working on the right things”. Never a big Bradford fan (I am in STL) saw to much of him not being able to lift a team without the team already being great, like in Oklahoma. He did always have the toughness And tons of arm talent but always kind of brittle. A little like Cousins except Kirk is more durable.
Great to hear your voice again, looking forward to the next installment.
Thanks Mike... the more that I talked about the season, the more memories kept flooding in. Your observation about having the same inability to lift a team is a good one. We get into Bradford much more in the next episode (coming Thursday)
Definitely makes me sad whenever I think about Teddy and what could've been .... great podcast though! Definitely picked up the workday! Thanks Coller!
Oooh. First podcast of Purple Insider. I'm in at the ground floor. When the show becomes the biggest sports podcast in the state, I'll be able to say I was one of the original subscribers. I'm pretty much a hero. Thanks Matthew, but especially thanks me.
Awesome discussion. I was at the 2016 wk. 17 game with my dad. Even though it was a meaningless game it was still incredible to take it all in. It was the first (and only) time I was ever in the cathedral we are privileged to play football in. Then there was that weird scoop and score where Barr got away with illegally batting the loose ball 20 yards down field. And who could forget Chad Greenway's tribute to the fans as he walked off the field for the last time, subtly announcing his retirement. That pair of tickets was one of the best Christmas presents I've ever gotten.
Thanks for listening! I remember that play with Barr. What a bizarre game that was. Even if it's a meaningless game or preseason game, US Bank Stadium does not disappoint.
Definitely an old habit... I realized it yesterday but didn't want to mess anything up by uploading another file :) and I figured you all could laugh at me if you made it that far
you are an absolute goober, and I love your content and never really missed a purple daily show. Your professional approach to researching the topics, combined with your lighthearted and genuinely interested attitude, makes the best vikings material available. I was super upset when I heard you were let go at skor north, but even more excited that you stayed to cover my favorite team. I've never paid a subscription in my life, just wanted to support your work and thank you for what you put out there. Keep grinding man, we see you.
This is great content. So fun to relive such an unassuming amazing season. I was sitting in the end zone seats for Bradfords impeccable performance agains the Saints game 1. What a start to the season. Can’t wait to hear more.
Great content, glad there is a new podcast to listen to.

haha thanks so much Matt. More to come soon! Once I get everything set up, the old Purple Daily cast and crew will be alive again on your phone
Hopefully we can hear from Alex Boone again at some point. Loved having his perspective on the show. Especially since he has NO FILTER.
Great podcast
Thanks for your work!
Avid Vikings fan from Dublin Ireland. Love your work. Keep it up. Skol

Great to have you back in my headphones while I’m at work. Thanks man.

Quite the joy hearing Coller continue his Vikings coverage. The efforts are greatly appreciated with or without global pandemics.
Thanks Andre!
I noticed you closed the podcast by saying SKOR North. Old habit? Or are they still involved?
