I wish they could trade down to the end of round 1, get an 2nd or early third and still get three of these four from the top 100 picks - a top end receiver, DT, OL or DB.
It's a year or two too soon to use a 1st on a WR. It's critical to get surplus value from players on rookie Ks, but a WR's is severely curtailed when 18, 3 and 87 are all getting significant targets for the next two years. Nailor's production was fine (and consistent with the players cited), plus he's cheap for one more year. Addison is cheap for two more.
Next year (and when ideally the team has 4 picks on days 1/2 of the draft) makes a lot more sense.
I think there are a few that would be worth it in round 1, but I also don't know how much I love this class versus the Dline or corner class. It feels like those have higher quality players available later than WR, where I am guessing we won't have a shot at Tet, emeka, or Burden. Those three feel higher quality than the rest, and after that I would rather wait for whatever "flavor" of wr we want the most (big guy, speed guy, underneath guy)
Don’t hate the idea, but I’m not sure this is the year to do it. I do like Burden from what I’ve seen, but I don’t view him as being anywhere near the Jefferson, Addison, or Harvin type game changer you’d want out of a first round WR. Having more weapons is definitely good for young QBs, but having an elite offensive line is right up there, and I think this year’s draft is just better for taking an OL early. If they take Burden I’d be fine with it, but not my first choice. Still have to watch some tape on most of these WRs, but I like Nick Nash and Kyle Williams as late round guys to throw a dice roll at.

The football world is playing Hi-Ho Cherry-O and our boy Mathew is playing 3D chess.
Having read this scouting report, https://www.nfldraftbuzz.com/Player/Luther-BurdenIII-WR-Missouri
I thought his quick twitchiness reminded me a lot of Percy Harvin.
