Missed the live Addison trade podcast, but think I agree with Coller on it being a, “let’s wait and see how this year goes” situation. He’s had stretches where he has been very good, KOC seems to love him and fought to draft him, and if you trade him and Greenard you gotta start asking what they are going to spend the money on. If he has a good year and they aren’t backed into a very expensive corner on the QB situation, I think they figure out a way to make it work. If he has another middling year and Jennings is 15m cheaper, that’s probably the way they go.
The capital used to take Turner was indefensibly absurd, but that's spilt milk and was outside of his control.
His rookie year, he wasn't just stuck behind Greenard and the Dutchman, eg Pat Jones had 450 snaps. Turner just wasn't good enough to play more than he did.
He's still young and he showed improvement last year, it would be nice if he can make a leap to a double-digit sack guy this year. Fingers crossed.
Yes, the Addison podcast was quite good and your point that while the story is BS in the short term, it does contain bits and pieces of reality (I guess my point was I hated people talking in excited voices over a preseason trade that is just not happening. But as pointed out.... Once the season starts the ball can bounce many ways.
