Mathew, you make a case for the organizational genius of Philadelphia and San Francisco. However, many of their really great stars are getting old and Bosa is highly paid which precludes resigning Chase Young. The Vikings have a nucleus of really good offensive players and good coaching. They don't need a top ten QB to be successful next year. This question and answer exercise was focused too heavily on the succession of the QB problem. I think the wait and see strategy by the Viking brass is smart.
I'm in a "glass case of emotion" thinking about Cousins coming back or not. I just keep circling back to the "grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." We know we've got a "good" sometimes "great" on rare occasions "not good" QB that is capable of winning a SB. I'm to the point that I think the best move would be to just sign him to a "team friendly" deal and continue to "competitively rebuild"
The problem is his agent has never signed a team friendly deal. He’s the best agent in the league. Use the tens of millions saved on the defense and go young.
“Complete rosters compete for Super Bowls, not teams with five expensive stars and hopes and dreams.” Well said, Matthew. It’s all about the cash flow and timeline...

Raiders just fired their COO. Unless he was writing himself checks from the company account this is another HoS (Hall of Shame) moment for Mark Davis.
