Very much ready for this saga to be over. We should all be grinding draft highlights on YouTube (shout out to JustBombsProductions), not refreshing our news feeds for Rodgers doom and gloom. He’s not even on the team and I’m already sick of him.

Thanks Matthew. I commented yesterday on how bad I felt this move would be and how I'm getting anxious based on how long it's dragged out while they idly watch other decent backups sign elsewhere rather than be done with it. You've summmed up all my fears with facts and analysis. I have to wonder, does anyone think a) Rodgers is still a top 15 QB in the league? b) He will play as well as Darnold did last year? c) He will be as good at season's end as McCarthy would be if he gets to play? d) He would be a good mentor to McCarthy? d) He won't be a distraction and/or throw others under the bus when it comes time to bench him for McCarthy? Bottom line all that matters is what Kewsi and KOC think. To this point they've been smart and pragmatic leaders, one has to hope they don't fool themselves into doing something really stupid now.

Really really REALLY tired of the Rodgers nonsense. I'm just gonna say it.....sportswriters acting like Insta Thots looking for clicks from thirsty fans. "Sources telling us" "Insiders say" "Word has it" is code for we're making this crap up as we go along because no team is stupid enough to give us actual information this time of year and we have time and space to fill for our editors and contracts.

Just move forward with JJ McCarthy already. As fun as it was to follow the Vikings’ journey in their 14-3 season last year, and as good as Sam was for us, having a placeholder QB did not give me any sense of optimism into the future, as the 2014 and 2015 seasons did with Teddy, Thielen, Diggs, and others developing as a team. The 2025 Vikings roster looks stacked, especially with this group of coaching staff. I can’t wait to see and follow the future of the Minnesota Vikings with JJ taking the helm

despite The Athletic, I believe there is ZERO chance the Vikings sign Rodgers

So the plan is to go with McCarthy as starter. What’s the plan for backup QB wait until he gets injured and trade a second round pick for Kirk Cousins?

My man, free agency is barely a week old. Take a breath. They have months to sign a backup.

Take this for what it's worth, but my sister took my kid to the US Bank Stadium Tour over the weekend and their tour guide was one of the higher-ups in Vikings events. One of the people taking the tour asked this guide what he thought of the Rodgers stuff, and he told the whole tour group that he had on good authority from people he knows in football ops that it's not happening and is pretty much total BS being generated by Rodgers side. Which makes sense, given the two reporters who keep trying to advance the story. Assuming what that Vikings events guy said is true, my theory on all this is the Vikings are still deciding on a backup, but they care about their status as the player-friendly org and aren't going to proactively come out and shoot a future HOFer down and make him look bad. The announcement of a backup getting signed will do that, which hopefully happens soon so all this silliness can stop.

It is amazing how some fans are really into the Rodgers idiocy. Had somebody say " I truly believe that Rodgers would break franchise records with Minnesota next season." on a twitter tear.

Please, somebody, make the insanity stop. Please

Also, do we really need to be bringing Jeff Okudah in for a visit? Dude is the Trey Lance of cornerbacks. There, I found something else to complain about, lol.

TBW was not a potential franchise QB

yah I don't think we know that. The 2016 team was pretty loaded on both sides of the ball, and Teddy's knee injury impacted his later career ... he would've been better if he hadn't gotten hurt, and the point is you just need a decent young QB on a rook contract if you build a good team around him ...

He had a chance with other teams and came up empty. He was a backup at best

Did you forget he damn near died? Jesus man, move on. Pretend Kirk is still quarterback and be happy.
