I don't think any of those players are worth a 1st. Jalen Ramsey was most recently traded for a 3rd--he's not worth a 1st a year and a half later. For comparison, Brian Burns was just dealt for a 2nd and a 5th. Guys who have to be paid, or are already being paid, don't get high returns anymore. Jaycee Horn is still cheap this year and next, and could be tagged in '26, but he's never shown that he can stay healthy--Parcells had a line about not taking on other people's problems.

The alternative that could work is trading next year's no. 1 for a player and picks--essentially moving up the timeline for the trade down that many folks expect on draft night. Trading a no. 1 for Lawrence and a 2nd and 4th, or even a 3rd and 4th, or a no. 1 for Campbell, two 2nds and a 4th, could make sense.

You’re slipping Coller, obviously making the exact same trade for Akers didn’t cross your mind 😄 Now, about that IDL trade….
