Thank you for the recap. My husband knew that JJ was the one to pick. I was so happy that we picked him.

“Hey, I’m just saying, if the Vikings had taken Jefferson and Aiyuk… nevermind.”

Never change, Matt.

Great recap! Such an odd year…Collier, next year leading up to the draft we do a live draft watchathon…special PI guests and we can all breakdown the past draft and discuss NFL what-ifs…at least I’d attend 🤣

The Packers decision to *trade up* and draft Love came at a significant near-term cost. If they had traded up to take JJ, Lamb, Aiyuk or Higgins instead, the '21 and '22 teams get a significant boost. This choice also negated the gargantuan benefit of having tiny cap hits expenditures on the QB position, which as we've heard impacts the rest of the roster.

As Vikings fans, it would be much nicer if Love was now playing in Winnipeg or Memphis, so the player selected worked out for GB. But, Rodgers was already a HOF QB, it was and remains quite odd that the Packers didn't try to maximize the rest of his back 9, as the Bucs did with Brady and Nola did with Brees.

Thank you for encapsulating the emotional impact of the time. It's a bizarre piece of history that will be archived, but collectively desired to be forgotten.
