This is now a team mentality... and thats a coaching issue... Zimmer has at times been a good NFL HC..and is clearly a professional level HC unlike many other who actually dont know WTH they are doing. But Zimmer is done..he has run his course, he has instilled the team with a lack of killer instinct, aggression and confidence... his years of being conservative and playing not to lose can only work with superior talent (2017) but will doom a decent team to mediocrity. Hes been our best HC since Green but he needs to go...now...

Glad the Vikings won but it doesn't change a thing as far as needing to move on from Zimmer, Speilman, and Cousins. I appreciate the good years Zimmer gave us. I've not appreciated much from Cousins. I still see him as a self-serving self-centered individual interested in his stats but not necessarily the team winning. Without a change we'll be wasting JJ and Cook as well as see players that need to be developed not make the grade. My opening prediction was 8/9. I'm staying with it.

Curt, I've been wondering if it was possible that you were the same Curt Murphy from 500 PX and I guess I'm right! I agree with you on Zimmer , Speilman and Cousins. Time to move on.

https://500px.com/p/curts968?view=photos that would be me :) I wondered the same about you. I am pretty passionate about the Vikings. I thought it might have been you commenting along the way. Good to see you here :)

Rinse and repeat, same issues every game. Only shockingly different thing I saw, was they had Cook run a WR route and it worked great!! Where's that been his whole Viking career?? Honestly, was ready for a loss to end this thing and move forward, feels like we're just delaying things.

Great read Mathew. Another nauseating performance after a great 1st half. This could've been worse Osborn could've been flagged very easily on his td and we might have lost with Pittsburgh kicking a fg at the end.

Going into the third quarter I was barraged with text congratulating the Vikings. I stoically responded, “just wait.“ The Vikings defense did not disappoint me…

Kris Boyd’s penalty changed momentum. Guy is a liability as is Danzler as us Breeland. P2 is a solid two. Alexander up and down. Boyd - either you don’t know or don’t care and neither works. That play gave them a spark. Send him to the practice squad.

I'll read this at intermission, but I disagree with the title. The disaster happened. Every game isn't a referendum on this team anymore. Wins and Losses don't matter. They weren't contenders because of the GB, just like they weren't bottom dwellers because of the DET loss. They're a mediocre team that sometimes gets theirs and sometimes gets got. We saw both today. Saying they avoided disaster because they came out with the win is misrepresenting then as a team we're still learning about
