From my vantage point at the practice last night, JJ looked like the better QB for the first 60% of action. Then he missed a pretty easy angle route over the middle to TJ on a 3rd and short in the "shadow of your own goal line" situation (threw it high and hot), and it all seemed to fall apart after that. The pass rush was pretty relentless on his 11-on-11 reps though--lots of crowded and collapsing pockets, and on one rep I thought he got his hand hit on his release and was lucky not to get hurt. The OL had a lousy night pass blocking (starters and buckups), but Darrisaw sat, so...
I was not impressed with Kyler outside of the TD to Addison. He looked very indecisive, even in 7-on-7, and both INTs were bad ideas and lousy throws.
As John Madden used to say, "When you have two QBs, you have none." The defense looks REALLY good, though.
Remaining calm for now, but if the QBs are still struggling at the end of this week, I’m going to have to start concocting some elaborate trade scenarios to keep myself from spiraling. Addison and Kyler for Baker and Vita Vea straight up?!?!? Who says no!?!?
