Great article Matt 👏 only thing I have to say about these rumors with JJ is there true then Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and anyone else that was involved should be fired ASAP. Trading JJ and having a rookie replace him is a fireable offense. Ziggy and Mark would in any form sign-off on something like this.
This phenomenon--horseshit speculative and/or inaccurate content put out by people/accounts/web sites looking for engagement--is really bad in the sports world in particular, but honestly it's all over social media and indeed the entire internet. Generative AI is going to make it much worse (in fact it already has). The internet as a a whole and social media in particular are quite a bit worse as sources of information than they were a few years ago--probably even than 12 years ago. I do hope there is a bit of a "correction" as we all agree that we hate aggregators, garbage online journalism, and AI-generated searches and content, but that might take awhile. In the interim it's oddly sort of "good" for people like Matthew who write good things/create good subscription-based content on specific topics.
There was just an article about Caleb Williams having a mediocre OTA day and just thinking that he just started practicing... Give it some time before throwing him on the huge scrapheap of Bears QB suckdom (of course I hope he ends up there but obviously it still is what, 2nd week of his first OTAs?
An unnamed source, whose cousin works with a Vikings groundskeeper’s barber revealed J.J. McCarthy dropped the snapped pigskin as it was drenched in Bradbury’s derrière condensation!
