The 2026 Purple Insider Draft Guide
A deep dive into all the Vikings NFL Draft options
By Matthew Coller and Jonathan Harrison
Welcome to NFL Draft week 2026.
For the last five years, we have released a Minnesota Vikings draft guide with profiles of dozens of potential players that the Vikings may target in the draft with analysis about why they might fit the purple and key statistics.
This year’s draft guide is bigger and better with more profiles and breakdowns, including a draft simulation, late-round potential targets and an essay on the importance of this year’s draft.

Well, Cine and Booth combined for 8 games in 2024. They each played 0 games in 2025. Cine was cut in August, given an injury designation, then waived in Sept. Perhaps "still in the NFL" can be subjective, but they both spent the 2025 season, and remain, out-of-football.
This draft cannot be a cure-all, but it can be a series of smart decisions/good risks, which can then be stacked upon in 2027 and 2028. Fingers-crossed someone gets desperate for Simpson and will trade a 2027 no. 1 to move up and get him. If so, there will be ammo to trade up to get a QB next year, or if Murray crushes it, there is extra capital to keep building the roster around him.
If I'm doing the mock, I'd be good with the first two picks in Terrell and Price. In mine, I did Derrick Moore, Skyler Bell, Kamari Ramsey, Trey Zuhn, Charles Demmings, Heidenreich, and a couple of different 7th round DLs I'd never heard of. Going to have to do one more with a Greenard trade in there since Schefter is bringing that back up this week.
