I would rather have watched the Corgi races!

Even they were a train wreck…was supposed to be 12 corgis in race one, cut down to 6 for race 2 and then final 3 race for championship. Someone F’d up and all 12 raced again in heat 2 and they ran out of time to complete the 3rd heat so they declared the winner of the restarted race the winner. Leave it to the Vikings Ops people to F up corgi races

The Minneapolis Miracle was as good as it can get for Spielman and Zimmer. Time for a full rebuild. I feel like a lot of fans think that means they'll be bad, but that's not true. This division is going to be the weakest in the NFC next year if Rodgers leaves Green Bay, even getting a new/rookie QB, the Vikings would still have the best roster.

I think Murphy is going to have one fun article for tomorrow. The O`Neill penalty was the ultimate Vikings screwup... A usually solid player does a bonehead move leading to a chain reaction of disaster (missed the 1st down by a couple of yards then punt return for a TD.)

Here are a few things that got on my nerves about todays game:

Vikings score to make it 13-9 and Rams are offside on extra point, instead of taking the penalty and going for 2 from the 1 Mike takes the 5 yards on the kickoff and proceeds to have Joseph blow it out the back of the end zone…case in point Rams after punt return TD (and Smith penalty) free kick it from 50 and pin Vikings deep on the kickoff…they didn’t waste the penalty.

Kirk McCheckDown on 3rd and goal from six checks down to Mattison who is running a 1 yard route and is blanketed…if you weren’t trying to get a TD just kick the FG on 3rd down and save the clock.

Vikings score a TD to go down 27-19…you go for 2 there, if you get it and you get a stop you can get a win with a TD…if you don’t get it you can go for 2 again to try and tie it. Zimmer is too old school to even think of this analytical concept

For what Pierce and Tomlinson are paid they are sure Swiss cheese stopping run…Rams constantly were moving them back. Doubt Rams had a negative run all day

“All year the Vikings have been inconsistent on offense, struggled to stop opponents’ run games and haven’t shown up in big situations where they were needed most.” Well said, Matthew. Well said.

Great summary of the game. The Vikings had a lot of chances to win this one. Now they need to upset the Packers and beat the Bears to escape a disappointing season. How are the Viking's special teams ranked this year? Until the partially blocked punt last week and the TD returned punt, the Vikings special teams have looked much better than last year's squad.

Great article Mathew. But to much Sony and to much Cooper today.
