Good article - remember the season after Moss got traded. Vikings went from 405 points scored to 306. When one guy commands double teams it makes the rest of the squad better, not just the QB.

So the Moss trade resulted in 25% reduction in points, drafting Troy Williamson, Tice getting fired, and the Childress era starts.

Be careful what you wish for.

One of the main things you hope for in following sports and a particular team is the opportunity to root for truly great players. JJ is one of those. The folks who want to see him traded have contracted a terrible case of GM Brain and need to seek professional help.

Voice of reason as always, Mtthew. I hope you had a fantastic break in Florida and that the weather was spectacular.

Pro sports is the only industry where the public seems to side with management over labor by default.

I don't understand it and I'm not sure I ever will.

Are people so unable to separate what NFL players do from the game they played as kids in the backyard that they are offended by the idea of any player being paid?

Players are the chief revenue drivers for an industry that makes billions every year. They deserve a large portion of that income, especially given the shelf life on their earning potential.

Plus, the money isn't going to fund hospitals and orphanages of it doesn't go to the players.

I wish these people would grow up.

Apologies for the rant.

Love the MySpace reference! I couldn’t even get away from the Jefferson talk out here in upstate NY. Turned on our friends from WGR this morning and first segment is bills trading for Jefferson! Unreal stuff. Looking forward to all the combine coverage!

I'm surprised the clowns on WGR are aware there are other teams in the league.

It would be a sad day if Justin doesn’t return. The Vikings have a bunch of holes to fill, Justin must have someone that isn’t going to throw him hospital balls. (Dobbs nearly got him killed when he returned from his injury last year). He can make most quarterbacks look better.

How good would he look with Mahomes, Allen, Jackson or Burrow, he deserves to play with talent like that. I’m selfish I want him to stay here.
