This team would have been good with Darnold, Jones, or Rodgers. Can’t believe you spend $300 million on free agency and play a rookie quarterback. It’s like being married with kids, but having fun with the lady next door. Can’t have it both ways.
Until JJ can start connecting with Jefferson, the best receiver in football, I will not have any confidence that JJ has really turned the corner. I find it rather unfathomable that he hardly has tried to connect to Jefferson. If this continues, I would not be surprised to see Jefferson want out of Minnesota, which would be a total tragedy. JJ must start connecting with Jefferson in the Dallas game or the ongoing suggestion of his improvement is beyond comprehension. In the Washington game, the defence sat back to prevent the long ball, but receivers were open underneath that would never be that open in a regular NFL game, so we can hardly rely on this game being a great turn around for JJ. If he progresses in the Dallas game and starts connecting with Jefferson, even though they haven’t a great defense, then I will have much more confidence he is turning the corner. I truly hope he is the answer to our franchise QB need!
Feels like his chemistry with Jets was stunted immediately when Jefferson missed camp. The timing has simply never been there. Doesn’t help that JJ struggles with layering/touch passes — which are crucial to getting Jets the ball in KOC’s scheme.

I'm looking for a repeat performance on Sunday night against Dallas. I can't look any further out in the schedule.
