Can’t blame Jefferson for leaving. If anything, it just shows that he has the maturity to remove himself from the situation so he doesn’t say something he’ll regret. The running back room was always suspect given the uncertainty they had at QB going into the season. They needed to sign a guy or spend a draft pick before the 6th round, or whenever Claiborne was taken. Side note: I was disappointed to see Coller take a Kalshi sponsorship. I know you gotta pay the bills, but not what I am looking to see.

"there has to be a sense of complete panic?" That's a textbook definition of measured objectivity.

The opening series started with an explosive play action pass. Then, a middling run. Second down was an underthrown deep shot to an open Addison, though Addison was gift-wrapped a DPI call if he'd shown more aggressiveness than the Dalai Lama and jumped back through Reed into the ball. Third down was an uncharacteristic drop by Hocks. It's frustrating, but also an example of why the NFL gives rise to so many cliches: game of inches, razor thin margins, etc.

WRs understandably get upset by losing and suffering material financial harm. Everyone knows how good JJ is, but it's impossible to get commensurately paid, or go to Canton, without actual production. Addison's performance is tracking to be Kelly Campbell, not Higgins/DVS/Waddle (WR2s who signed lucrative extensions).

Improvement is needed, hyperbole is not.

At this point they should seriously consider trading Jefferson. Firstly we can still get good value for him, which Teasley will need. Secondly he deserves to go to a team that has the pieces in place to be a serious contender. He deserves that at least for all that he has put up with in Minnesota. A consummate professional who has been no problem at any time and has not been given the support that he deserves.

If Teasley and O'Connell approach ownership with trading Jefferson, the Wilfs should fire them for letting it get to that point. I worry that we are headed to a Jefferson trade this offseason though.

Looks like the author has finally caught up to the rest of Vikings Nation and realizes that Murray is a bad QB and KOC is a mediocre OC.

If KOC wants to win big as the Vikings HC he will need to hire an empower a quality OC. KOC seems to be a heck of a HC so he should focus on that. If he refuses then he will likely end up as an HC/OC somewhere else but with much worse results as he won't have a world beater DC on his staff.

At this point this is what the offense is. EPA/play was almost their exact average for this season in this game and their success rate was actually slightly higher than average. Odds are against the offense improving to the point of being league average. The few examples of offenses going from the bottom to middle from this point in the season improved their passing EPA. I think at this point any RB addition would only be a marginal improvement and would still be a bottom 10 offense when it's all said and done. Trading for QB is not realistic, in my opinion, and Daniel Jones might be a downgrade as hard as that is to believe. With that said they probably go 11-6 or 12-5 still

Jefferson needs to go diva at this point. We are wasting his career and I think KOC's stubbornness is part of it. Whether its a qb change or a scheme adjustment, something has to give or JJ is gone.

If this offense is designed to run through Jefferson, then they need to go to a QB who knows how to get him the ball. That means going to Wentz or overpaying for Kirk. How many more times can KOC turn on the tape and watch an 8-year vet turn down open throws/windows in order to stand there and pat the ball for another 3 seconds before taking a sack or airmailing a covered receiver? He knows what he wants, and Kyler clearly ain't it. He's actually way worse than I ever thought he'd be, and I didn't think he'd be all that good.

I love KOC and think we're lucky to have him as HC, but he's the lowest common denominator in the offensive struggles. Sunday was a regression to his older style heavy games with lack of situational awareness that he's mostly outgrown - but bad habits die hard.

We know who Kyler is, and at no point in his career has he played like this, so hesitant and overthrowing balls. There is a marriage between KOC and K1 that works here very well, and it's not in a 2+ to 1 pass/run split. You can get the right looks all day but that doesn't mean exploiting a look is the only solution.

The answer is often just stacking completions, which Kyler is among the best at. Remember that, Kev? The power of completions. Let's just get rolling and stop making it look so hard.
