Is it wrong that I feel disappointed the Vikes didn't lose?

Mattison's stat line is super misleading, you take away his longest run, and he averaged less than 3 yards per carry and had the crucial fumble. Really disappointing effort all around.

Starting to question Kubiak, unless Zimmer made him run so much? Vikes just needed to dropkick pass 85% to win by 14-21pts. No more Hill at LT please too. Part of me wishes they'd have lost and start blow up now, wins are meaningless as this team can't do anything anyways, will be worse draft pick for QB or top prospect.

Outside of the obvious disgust at the incompetence of the play calling Darrisaw gave off legit starter vibes.....

Yeah and so we put in the turnstile at LT for the first drive of the second half and first play he shows us the brown’s game wasn’t a fluke. Hill used to be a serviceable backup. What happened to him? He’s this year’s Winnebago.

I think in short bursts he can be fine but he does not have the power to start every game. As a swing tackle he is good (and cheap)...But not as your starting LT

I thought Hill was playable, but he isn't. There were some data that he's much better at RT than LT. Maybe he can handle spot starts at RT, but he can't at LT.

Hopefully Darrisaw is the starter this week, if not after the bye.

I’ve been a fan for over 40 years and this was the most poorly coached game I remember. Detroit couldn’t stop Jefferson all day, but Zimmer sure could. He is simply too scared of taking risks passing, but seems to forget the negative run plays (holding, and another key fumble). He literally takes the joy out of watching football. I wish the owners had the guts to fire him after that debacle because he’s lost 99% of the fans.

I’m actually less excited to watch this team. What needs to happen is so obvious, we need to move on from our QB and Coach. Wins like these ruin your draft status and prolong the inevitable for no reason.

Always appreciate your work as always, and I'll read this once the Packers game goes final, but I have to disagree with the headline. The Vikings didn't avoid a devastating collapse. The collapse happened. Then the Lions just put Lioned the Vikings

I am curious about how many snaps Hill got in this game. Whenever that guy is in Cousins gets gunshy rightfully so. I was happy to see Darisaw in and he looked much better than Hill. That said, last game I stood up for Kubiak's game calling. This game... I'm scratching my head. Is it Zimmer demanding the run to the point Klint can't call midrange passes or Klint simply not calling or Cousins being frightened every time Hill is in so we run or short check-down passes? If it is this obvious to the fans, and I mean OBVIOUS, that we should be passing the ball much more why is it beyond Zimmer to adjust and allow that to happen. I expected the game to be close. I never ever expected a blowout. The Vikings have almost played up to the good competition and have now played down to the worst competition. The Coach believes he knows who they are but the team plays like they are hamstrung by the game calls part of the time. I can't help but believe much of that is Zimmer, not Kubiak. Kubiak knows Cousins' strengths inside and out. He knows if Kirk is not pressured he can be outstanding. The only explanation I can come up with is that the left side of the line is so bad Kubiak can't call the game as he would like coupled with Zimmer screaming "run" in his ear whenever we're under 5 minutes to play... totally disappointing today. For as beat up as the Lyons are, their defense outplayed us.

Pathetic. An utter abomination. After the Kitties scored the touchdown, I truly wanted the Vikings to lose. Burn it to the ground…

Absolutely terrible win. This thing needs to torn down. Not looking forward to all the optimism that will flow from the podium this week. Can’t recall if it was Sam or Matthew this week but they nailed it when they said a win here is empty calories. What a missed opportunity for getting an L
