More fourth quarter madness, and another gutwrenching loss for the Vikings

Two of the most bonkers Vikings games of the past 15 years involved the Ravens and insane fourth quarters.
No surprise this one produced more of the same — plus a little extra. And no surprise with the way Minnesota’s season has gone, it wasn’t in the Vikings favor.
Baltimore marched the field for four straight touchdown drives to take a fourth quarter lead, then gashed the Vikings on a ground for a game-winning overtime field goal to steal a game 34-31 they once trailed by 14 points.
The Vikings, again, were left perplexed at how their offense could so thoroughly fade as the game went on and why their defense broke when it mattered most. They are 3-5, needing oxygen in the NFC playoff race and emotionally taxed after a fourth loss by four points or fewer.
