The thing with Murray: it’s a flashing warning sign that the Cardinals want to move on; this isn’t the Chefs trading Smitty or the litany of back-ups traded from GB who became viable QB1s. Murray’s started 87 games, it’s really hard to believe the best is still in front of him.

But, the details matter. If Murray takes the Fields/NYJ contract (2 years, $30 guaranteed) or Rusty/PIT (1 for the minimum), it’s hard for that to provide negative value.

I don’t know, I feel like the Cardinals are a crappy enough franchise for it not to be all that surprising that a QB didn’t work out there. If you’re asking yourself “what would it take for Murray to have a good year in MN?” it really doesn’t take all that much. He’d have to look closer to 2024, which isn’t a huge ask given his age, and he’d have to be more mature and dedicated than he was in AZ. I don’t think that is all that unlikely either since he’d be playing for a shot at another huge contract, would be on a good team with good coaching, and probably would want to show he wasn’t the problem in AZ. It’s easier for me to talk myself into all that than what it would take for any other option not named Malik Willis.

I think the Wilf's are currently angling for a new GM. Likely there are nibbles, but no one is taking the bait. All of the big lunkers like John Schneider aren't likely to move.

Here's what we need to acknolege. KOC is NOT the problem. He has proven he is a great x's and o's offensive minded coach and QB "whisperer" He just needs an O line to let his complex plays develop. Why don't we just draft O line and keep all else in tact, except maybe resurrect Mike Tice to coach the O line.
