That last Madden idea is brilliant. They should totally talk to the people who do on ice projection for NHL pre game shows about it. https://youtu.be/v5cRoQgQzdw?t=63
Most teams could have the projectors installed in the trusses of their indoor facilities. Maybe the Bengals could mount them to the bottom of I-71 Southbound!
Oddly enough, the Friends football episode was on last night. Clearly Monica would be Zim’s favorite. She was the clear leader in the huddle. At one point she lowered a shoulder into Ross for a tackle, head to the side, drove with the legs, pancaked him. Overall she wanted the win more than all the others.
Matthew, I just wanted to let you know I was smiling during the whole “Is this a Viking player or a boy band member”. Jon knocked it out of the park though. Didn’t expect that, lol.
This question: "@benjackson0812 Who is a player (outside of Cousins) you look at and say if they have a great season the Vikings will go deep in the playoffs??" and Matthew's answer touches on something that's bothered me about the NFL for a long time.
1st, I think your answer is 100% correct, Matthew. What bothers me is that with a steady stream of rule changes that have tilted the field in the offense's favor, we have created a league of "haves" and "have nots". What is ostensibly the "ultimate team sport" has become a league where 5-8 teams are set at QB and have a chance at a SB while the rest are desperately trying to find the next HoF QB talent.
Don't get me wrong, top tier QB's have always mattered. But now we're in a league that's obsessed with those QB's because you literally can't win a SB without one. The only alternate path is to hope you get one of those future HoF'ers on a rookie contract and build a monster team around them.
I love the game of football, but this is not a healthy place for the game to be in my mind.

Agreed. This seems like a brilliant idea, especially for pass catchers.

Haha thanks, glad you enjoyed that
