I think Zimmer’s approach is wearing on fans. He’s got a sports car of offensive talent and insists on driving it like an Oldsmobile with bald tires. Not only does it not win against good opponents, it sucks the joy out of the game. Nobody wants to continually see 4 yards and a cloud of dust anymore.

There has never been a statement more true than B. Jones is not S. Hutchinson.

Agreed, generally nfl players work so hard. However, there are exceptions. B. McKinnie (who may have done less with other-worldly talent than anyone in nfl history) came back after the lockout weighing 380+. It's fair to have concerns about Pierce given his history, all the challenges covid adds and that he's not working to rehab an injury.

I enjoyed the bag O’ mail this week. Note, Cutler’s dating life reflects maximum doofus-ness. Re: “It turns out Jimmy G has a no-trade clause but I imagine he would agree to a trade if they acquired Cousins”. Help me Matt. I am not registering this sentence. Have you started adding whisky to your “Dr. Poppers” when you write, or perhaps I need to stop sipping bourbon when I read, or stop aging. 🥴. Now I’m off to go read McNown’s Wikipedia.

Haha I just mean that if the 49ers traded for another QB, Jimmy would waive his no-trade and allow a trade elsewhere

He threw a touchdown to himself in the playoffs, so you weren’t that far off. How many can say that haha

Trubisky is awful, but it's not as if Mahomes and Watson were then taken 3rd and 4th.

Drafting is hard. The bigger mistake was needlessly trading up to get Trubisky.

Caldwell doubling down on Bortles--and passing on obvious upgrade opportunities in the process--is so galling, and that's before the Foles debacle. The Oilers did the opposite, realized Mariota wasn't working out and improved their roster.
