On one small point I disagree with you Matthew. I actually love to watch the streamed pressers, though I concede that I learned more from them during the Zimmer years. While I enjoy journalists’ interpretations of what’s been said, I find that I sometimes have my own, slightly different take, and I’m especially interested in observing the leadership and communication styles of different coaches.
I'm not saying you shouldn't watch it or that the team shouldn't stream the press conferences, it's just that they're not like interviews, they're much more about information so it's not all that entertaining. If you enjoy them, more power to ya
Re Eagles fans -- I'm mildly embarrassed how anti-Eagles Vikes fans have become. We got our butts handed to us: let's move on now, we look like babies still whining about how poorly we were treated (granted, full unopened beers should not be thrown at people). Not saying we have to like them, but time to move on. Let's go win a SB ourselves.
Interestingly, buddy of mine who is an Eagles fan lives in the Bay Area now -- he said as bad as Veteran's Stadium got, nothing holds a candle to Raiders games at Oakland Coliseum. Said it was positively frightening, even going as a fan in neutral colors cheering for Oakland.
I do not dislike the Eagles because they kicked our butts at the 2017 NFC Championship game. I dislike their fans based on their disgusting behavior during games. Verbally abusing and throwing beer cans at Viking fans; holding up “Fu@! Millie” signs; throwing batteries; assaulting police officers and their horses; throwing snowballs at Santa Claus! It was so bad at their last stadium the had an active court and holding cells. Yes, the Raider fans of old were also pieces of work, but I don’t know how the LV crowd behaves today. Eagles fan misbehavior goes back many, many years.
Fair enough! And to be clear, I wasn't cheering for the Eagles in the SB (and while I didn't rub the loss in my friend's face, I also didn't offer him any sympathy). :)
I guess my real point is that the only sure way to get Eagles fans to throw MORE full beer cans at us is to tell them they're being big meanies and they should stop doing that to us. Let's just go out, win a SB, and then tell them to eat it after that.
Maybe. I can’t say he won’t be good. His college highlights aren’t filled with accurate passes under pressure into tight spaces. And I could end up way wrong.
Good luck Paul!
Skol searching won’t be the same without you
I think I'm going to miss Paul, he's really grown on me ; )
Best of luck Paul!
Matthew defended Eagles fans?
looks for unsubscribe button....
jk Matthew 😂

Well, fine, in that case I’ll hate Raiders fans too. Two wrongs won’t make me want Eagles fans to be happy.

I wouldn't move up to get Richardson. People said the same about Willis last year. Richardson falling could be a signal, not an error.
If Richardson goes in the first round, it'll be an indication that he's a vastly better prospect than Willis. Apples/oranges
Agreed
I get the sense evaluators don't have Willis anywhere near Richardson's level.

...and even if it's generally agreed he's a first round talent, he could be the next Mitch Trubisky (shudder), who the heck knows.
