A great deal has been stated about Kirk Cousins. Its not just the atrocious contract or less than outstanding play. If you have to fill every position with good players (not NFL average players) to prop up the quarterback, and artificially elevate the statistics, you've enabled quarterback mediocrity, sentenced the team to be handicapped by that mediocrity, and re-established the goal number 1, winning the superbowl, as goal #2 behind the actual goal 1... propping up the quarter back. The worst part about raising the statistics artificially is that you now have primed him for an extension, again, enabling mediocrity and reducing the probability of a Superbowl win. Cousins will try to get another enormous contract justifying it by his statistics without consideration of the hole it puts the team in. Now you have increased salary cap considerations because your "good" players want to be paid, understandably, and they all know that the reason they are not has to do with Cousin's 'I'm first attitude'. No matter how you spin Kirk Cousins name you will never find "team".

After listening to the Bengals precarious situation, I wonder if a "released" Zimmer (something I do not support) could end up as the Cincinnati HC?
