I am with you on this one. It is all talk until it happens. And one thing us fans need to admit, we have no idea how the Vikings board looks like (though clearly, it is not like the scouting department has been elite at this in the last 10 years). That said, actually having more than 2 picks in the top 100 is a rare bonus for the Vikings
Fano has 32 1/8-inch arms. That doesn’t bode well for a future offensive lineman (tackle or interior). I like the concept of considering o-line, looking to the future, I just don’t share your confidence in this specific player.
Wryly asking: is there another Dexter Lawrences? Garrett is Canton-bound. Parsons was clearly on that track, now we'll see. Lawrence is only getting in if he buys a ticket.
He had 0.5 sacks last year, despite playing with Brian Bruns, Thibodeaux (5th overall pick) and Carter (3rd overall pick). Whether sacks, QB hits or All-Pro teams are your brand of vodka, Lawrence clearly peaked in '22-'24. That's not shocking, it's consistent with what we know about aging curves for pass-rushing DTs. Lawrence is going to cost >$60 for the next two years *and* draft capital. We also just saw Jonathan Allen's age 29 and 30 seasons.
The second biggest worry on offence (after #71) is RB pass protection. Ham is really going to be missed here. Mason looks great walking off the bus, but he's really bad at blitz pickup. Jones, as noted, is game but small and he'll be 31.
Good questions and answers here as always, but it’s time for the actual draft. They gotta move it up a week next year.

Wyatt Davis was the ultimate in great idea... But....
I remember being so psyched when we got him.
And it was not like the Sharrif Floyd situation (who played very well before the injury).
Wyatt just horrible.
