Exactly. It wasn't the fact that they lost, yeah that would've sucked regardless, but it's that they came out and laid an egg on the biggest stage that's so crushing. Especially to long term fans that have seen this script so many times now. Makes it hard to carry any optimism into LA

Sam played terrible. He threw wildly and couldn't hit a guy in stride until late in the third. They deserved to lose. But had the refs called the safety correctly and penalized the Lions for hitting receivers arms before the ball arrived it wouldn't have been been a much more respectable loss.

I have to stick with the one-game-at-a-time philosophy. Forget the bad last game and focus on how to beat the Rams next Monday. I'll worry about contracts later.

A bad game for KOC and Sam.....but they never learned from their mistakes or calmed down to make a decent throw [you know...reverting to your true self if you are a confident MVP type QB and coach]. Didn't happen......so never expect big things at big moments from these two...this year anyway.

They will lose...and soon....

Also, it was very cool at the time but the over celebration with Darnold from last week is a little embarrassing now. I can already hear the Packers fans saying they treated it like their Super Bowl.

Packers fans have nothing to talk about when they lost to the Bears at home and their glass ligament wide receiver is hurt again.

Call me crazy, but I think there is at least one NFC upset wild card weekend and they end up going to Philly or Tampa if they pull it off next week in LA. If they lose badly again, they move on from Darnold and KOC gets like a 2 year deal instead of the 5-7 year deal he would’ve gotten. Both would be overreactions but I don’t think the Wilf’s give KOC a giant long term deal if they blow it again in the playoffs.

Hoping he bounces back off this like he did after his game against the Jags. He's sailed too many over receivers lately.
