Loved the podcast :) I'm pretty much in agreement with the caveat that the rest of the coaching staff is suffering the plague of Zimmer ultra-conservative philosophy. I think the OC and the WRC are the ones suffering the most. I don't expect a rookie OC to look directly into Zimmer's eyes and say "I'm not doing it, this makes no sense" particularly when previous OCs who didn't support Zimmer's philosophy entirely were relieved of their duties fairly quickly. A coach who is not mentioned... ever... is Dennison. Dennison's title is Senior Offensive Advisor not simply run game coordinator. I will wager he supports Zimmer's focus on the run game 100% of the time which means he is also negatively influencing the passing game opportunities AND he's an additional burden for Klint. I would have graded the Coaching D+ as well but only because of the WRC and the OC's performance overall. I would have given Special Teams a D despite believing Ficken has been an exceptional coach. The players haven't elevated the game sufficiently. Its elevated from last year but I'm not using last year's performance as part of the metric. I was thinking D+ until I heard they released Abdula but kept West Brook... what the heck! Anyway, I love the podcasts and very much appreciate receiving the insightful thoughts of you and Sam. SKOL
